WestRock to showcase PETCollar range at BrauBeviale

WestRock, a leading provider of sustainable paper and packaging solutions, will showcase its expanding range of PETCollar™ solutions at renowned beverage industry exhibition BrauBeviale between 28 and 30 November in Nuremberg, Germany.

PETCollar is a fiber-based, multipack clip solution for PET bottles that enables brands to transition from hard to recycle single-use plastic rings and shrink film to paperboard. PETCollar is available in a variety of sizes and designs that can be adapted to multiple bottle sizes, shapes, and pack configurations.

The PETCollar range combines this optimized package design with WestRock's CarrierKote® paperboard to deliver a robust and efficient multipack solution. CarrierKote is a renewable, responsibly sourced, recyclable paperboard*, containing up to 15% recycled content. It allows for bundling multipacks while maintaining comfortable consumer handling and secure grip.

PETCollar can be delivered by WestRock’s pioneering and proven Fortuna® system. Fortuna is simple, compact, fast and flexible machinery that easily integrates into existing line layouts, and drives efficiency even at the highest packing speeds.

“Our unique integrated position in the industry allows us to innovate at all stages of the packaging life cycle – from fiber sourcing through to recycling,” said John Perkins, vice president, Machinery and Automation at WestRock. “This means we consistently arrive at thoughtful product design, make positive contributions to the circular economy, and deliver on WestRock’s promise of a more sustainable future. PETCollar is a solution that achieves on all those points for partners who want to move away from plastic rings or shrink film.”
