WestRock Recognized for Design Excellence by Paperboard Packaging Council

Company Receives 13 Awards at Annual Paperboard Packaging Competition Including Prestigious Eco Award

WestRock was recently recognized with 13 awards for design excellence—the most of any entrant — at the Annual North American Paperboard Packaging Competition sponsored by the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC). In its seventy-fourth year, the competition was judged by a panel of well-respected packaging experts, and the awards recognized cartons that represent the best in converting excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Of its 13 winning entries, WestRock was also awarded the prestigious Eco Award. The award recognizes an outstanding use of paperboard, creation of extremely sustainable packaging, and/or a fostering of materials. WestRock secured this top honor for it's work on Project Ironman, an innovative 8 pack CarrierKote® design for Budweiser and Bud Light's 16 oz. aluminum bottles. CanCollar™, WestRock’s durable, environmentally friendly, paperboard-based multipack solution for cans, was also given top accolades. A full list of awards can be found below.
