Chief Executive Officer

Steve Voorhees is chief executive officer of WestRock. Previously he was chief executive officer of RockTenn. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Steve served in various executive leadership roles, including president and chief operating officer; executive vice president and chief financial officer; and chief administrative officer. Before joining RockTenn, Steve was in operations and executive roles at Sonat Inc., a diversified energy company headquartered in Birmingham, Ala.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Northwestern University and a master of business administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

President, Packaging Solutions

Bob Beckler is president of Packaging Solutions for WestRock. Prior to that he was executive vice president of MWV and president of Packaging. Since joining MWV in 1987, Bob has held a variety of roles in research, business development and leadership across specialty chemicals, industrial packaging and MWV’s core packaging business.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Duke University and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Nina Butler is chief sustainability officer of WestRock. Previously she was senior vice president and senior environmental counsel for RockTenn. Nina joined RockTenn in 2011 with the acquisition of Smurfit-Stone, where she served as senior environmental counsel. Nina began her career as an environmental attorney with Hunton & Williams.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Tulane University.

Chief Communications Officer

Donna Owens Cox is chief communications officer of WestRock. Previously she was vice president of global communications and brand for MWV. Donna joined MWV in 1996 in the Forestry Division and served in communications leadership roles across operations and corporate until being elected as a corporate officer and asked to lead the global communications function in 2005.

Donna earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the University of South Carolina and a master of business administration from The Citadel.

Ward Dickson is executive vice president and chief financial officer of WestRock. Previously he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of RockTenn. Prior to joining RockTenn in 2013, he served as senior vice president of finance for the global sales and service organization of Cisco Systems. He also served in various financial roles at Scientific Atlanta and GE. 

Ward earned a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Indiana University.

Pete Durette is chief strategy officer of WestRock. Previously he was senior vice president of strategy for MWV and leader of the company’s Home, Health & Beauty segment. Since joining MWV as vice president and chief strategy officer in 2009, Pete helped reshape the company’s portfolio, leading many of its major growth initiatives and investments. Prior to joining MWV, he was with Textron, Inc. and Marakon Associates.

Pete earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and a master of business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Graham-Johnson is chief human resources officer of WestRock. Previously she was executive vice president of human resources for RockTenn. Jennifer joined RockTenn in 1993 in risk management and has since served in a variety of leadership roles for the company, including director of benefits and senior vice president, employee services.

Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.

Bob McIntosh is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of WestRock. Previously he was executive vice president, general counsel and secretary for RockTenn. He was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary from 2000 to 2008, and vice president and general counsel from 1995 to 1999.

Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Tech, a master of business administration from Emory University and a law degree from Washington & Lee University.

Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in forest management from the University of Missouri, began graduate study in business administration at Western Michigan University and graduated from the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

Jeff Chalovich is executive vice president of Corrugated Container for WestRock. Previously he was senior vice president and general manager of Corrugated Container for RockTenn. Jeff joined RockTenn in 2008 through the acquisition of Southern Container Corp., where he served in a variety of sales and general management roles. Before joining Southern Container, Jeff was in sales for Nekoosa Packaging and Weyerhaeuser. Jeff began his career in the paper industry following a four-year tour of duty in the U.S. Army where he served as an officer.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clarion University.

Tom has worked within the paper industry since 1987 in various leadership roles with Champion International, Simpson, Donohue and Abitibi-Consolidated. He began his career in the aerospace industry.

He earned bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering from Clarkson University and paper science and engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a master of business administration from Adelphi University.

Ken Seeger is president Land and Development for WestRock, which manages a portfolio of development projects, some of which are held in partnership with companies such as Plum Creek and The Rockefeller Group. He has been in his current position since founding the division at MWV in 2007. He has more than 35 years of real estate, investment, entitlement and development experience throughout the United States, including as founder and president of The Presidio Group, LLC and its affiliates, a San-Francisco-based real estate asset management, land entitlement and development company.

Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a major in finance.
